The Yarra Valley is certainly what it is hyped up to be, a scenic, picturesque beauty of Victoria that doesn’t disappoint.
The Holmesglen Recreation Team ran a day trip to the Yarra Valley, exclusively offered to Holmesglen students at a very cheap price.
The day started with a beautiful wine tasting at the Coldstream Hills Cellar Door, with five tastings provided, the students thoroughly enjoyed a sip while digesting the beautiful views.
Following the winery was the famous Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery for a delicious lunch and a chance to sample the finest chocolates.
If you were wanting a chocolate fix for later on, there was plenty of time to fill up your backpacks with delicious treats.
The last stop on the trip was at Rayner’s Fruit Orchard, where Farmer Len provided the students with a wonderful tour and u-pick opportunity.
Len gave the students in-depth knowledge regarding all of the fruits he grows, also providing tastings of a number of fruits.
Students were able to pick fruits from the trees, bag them up and buy them at the end of the tour.
This rounded out the day trip with all students enjoying themselves on a trip that never fails to disappoint.
