2. What is the difference between placement and Hotel takeover?

2.1 Students can actually gain experience of dealing  with a real issue and learn how to manage it  in a large scale. Developing skills in problem resolution, service recovery and professional communication  are just of the many skills that students will take away from this experience.

2.2 After conducting an interview session with stage 5 students of Bachelor of Hospitality Management, it was found that a hotel takeover is not just a simple campus placement, it is an intensive practical experience where students take on roles of high authority as Manager or Supervisor. This calls for induction training and monitoring prior to the hotel takeover.  This is why not all students have the opportunity,  and it is for those who are keen to take part in it and who are willing to work hard to gain experience and qualifications.
