STUDY-WORK-LIFE BALANCE TIPS

  • Be Organised and Have a Plan – Keep all you work or study materials in their own separate places so you always know where they are. Use a diary or a calendar to keep track of commitments, due dates and work shifts.
  • Create a Flexible Schedule – Its important to identify that some parts of your schedule aren’t flexible such as work or class times. Build a flexible routine around these and take advantage of leave or job sharing if possible. Try to allow for the unexpected errands or events but try to prioritise study as it one of your goals!
  • Prioritise and Be Realistic! – Be honest with yourself about what your commitments are and acknowledge that you do not have time to do everything. Decide on what is a priority and that things may need to change during busy study periods. Once the semester or course is finished, you’ll get more time back for socialising and other activities.
