Not just anyone…Learning Skills

How can I get Learning Skills support?

There are a number of ways:

You can drop-in at the Library.

No appointment necessary.

Look out for teachers sitting at the desks wearing the Holmesglen lanyard. Feel free to approach. We’re friendly (especially if we’ve had coffee) and happy to help.

If you’re still not sure who we are, ask the Librarians. They will point you in the right direction.

For drop-in times go to:

https://holmesglen.edu.au/Students/Student-Services/Learning-Skills-Centre/

https://holmesglen.edu.au/Students/Learning-Commons-Library/About-LC/News/

If these times don’t suit…

then email the Learning Skills Centre with your name, course information, the kind of help you need and the best time for you.

We will arrange an appointment.

If you are a Nursing student

You can book an appointment online.

Go to: https://booking.holmesglen.edu.au/learningskillsnursing

Tell us:

  • Your full name, student ID, course and level
  • Contact phone number
  • Brief message of what assistance you would like

Select the time that you prefer.

Or talk to your course teacher

If at any time during your course you feel you need extra support, let your teacher know and they can contact the LSC on your behalf.

Sometimes the suggestion for LSC help may come from your teacher if you are struggling.

Whichever you choose, all of these ways lead to Learning Skills, support and, hopefully, success in your studies.
