Become a mental health hero by looking out for stigma!

If you find media coverage that stigmatises mental ill health or irresponsibly reports suicide, you can report the item to StigmaWatch. StigmaWatch is a program run through SANE, who provide feedback and work with the media, across Australia, on how to responsibly report stories about mental ill health and suicide. Stigma can create barriers for those with mental health issues with choosing to access supports, sharing their story with others and low self-esteem by feeling judged or “abnormal”.
