# 1  Keep track of sources while researching.  If you don’t, precious time will be wasted later re-tracing your steps.

# 2  Remember to reference in two places: In-text and in the Reference list.

# 3  If there is no human author for your source, then use the organization’s name.

# 4  Use the author’s surname (not first name initial) in in-text citations

A tech solution...Endnote online enables you to store your references. Then by using a plugin app for Word you can insert citations into the text of your assignment and automatically create a reference list.

@ Moorabbin Library staff run classes on Tuesday and Thursday 2.30 -3.30 for Endnote, referencing in APA  and research for assignments until October 31st.
