Workshop 1: Launch your side hustle

 

About the Workshop:
Join veteran business owner, coach and trainer Brook McCarthy to learn the essentials of starting a side hustle, quickly, cheaply and easily. Whether you want to dip your toes in to see how you like self-employment, enjoy a creative outlet (that makes you bank), or save for a holiday, car, or something else, starting a side hustle makes good sense. It enables you to develop new skills, learn the essentials of business and marketing, and boost your income.

This workshop is valued at $650.00, but is available for $10 per session to current Holmesglen students.

Workshop outcomes:

  • Sorting through your ideas and deciding what you’re selling

    Start your business, quickly, cheaply and easily

    Write your one-page marketing plan

    Key low-cost or no-cost marketing tools

    To outsource, or not to outsource? And where to go to find good people

    Goal setting and writing your Action Plan!
     

How to participate:

  • You can join this event virtually from your laptop or computer, or
  • Join the Recreation Team where we will be streaming the workshop from the Holmesglen Chadstone Campus Library. Snacks will be provided. You will need to select the Chadstone Campus ticket when registering.

More about Brook McCarthy:

Brook McCarthy is a digital marketing trainer and a business coach with 17 years’ experience, with a background in Public Relations. She specialises in helping service-based sole traders and small business owners who feel self-conscious about marketing and would far rather just do the work than talk about it. She helps owners to grow their professional reputation so they can attract far more perfect-fit people and the best opportunities come to them.
