This week, The Australian Bureau of Statistics released key information from the 2021 Census. The Census occurs every 5 years and is one of the most important and largest collections published by the ABS. It provides the basis for official population estimates for Australia, state, territory and local government areas. To help make sense of this data, there are a number of Census data tools available.

Key collections from the ABS:

  • Census Data - Data from the Australian population every 5 years through the National Census.
  • Key Economic Indicators - Contains a summary of Australia's key economic and social indicators.
  • Population Clock - Provides a projection of the current Australian population and links to related demographic statistics.
