About this event

After an unprecedented year of lockdowns, the African Music and Cultural Festival (AMCF) is thrilled to be back for its first ever in person TWO DAY event at the iconic Melbourne Immigration Museum.

In its eighth year, AMCF is a firm fixture on the Melbourne events calendar. Due to overwhelming demand this year’s festival will showcase a two day program. In celebration of summer and the easing of restrictions, AMCF will be bringing the vibrance of African culture back to our much loved city of Melbourne on Saturday 18 December from10am – 10pm and Sunday 19 December from 10am – 7pm. The two day event will be packed with the vibrant energy and brilliance of our festival that our fans have come to know and love.

Although it may look a little different, expect a fantastic celebration of diversity and harmony that brings the sounds, rhythms, and flavours of Africa to life.

This is a free event, however due to the Victorian Department of Health COVID-19 restrictions, a ticketed system will be in place. Guests aged 16 and over will be required to check in on arrival and, as per State Government mandate, and show proof of full vaccination status.
