Session 1: Getting ready - affiliations with industry and creating your professional self

A series of events and workshops, designed to prepare Holmesglen travel and tourism students for industry. Develop skills to be job ready, enhance and increase your professional network and develop your personal and professional skills.

Introducing our two guest speakers who will be covering how connecting with industry and creating your brand will see you in good stead once you have finished your course. LinkedIn can be your best friend during a time where networking needs to be virtual and what you can do now to increase your job prospects down the line.

 

Madeleine Sawyer YTN and Caravan Industry Tourism executive

Madeleine has a strong background in the accommodation sector, working with brands such as Quest Apartments and Crown Resorts and most recently has been able to align her passion for regional tourism development with a role with Caravan Industry Association of Australia. Her involvement with the Young Tourism Network sees her help to foster career development for students and new entrants to the tourism industry.

Vincent Ramos Director of Advancement for the Holmesglen Foundation

With over 15 years experience, Vincent has worked for a number of leading institutions in Australia and the United States in philanthropy and alumni relations, communications and social media, leadership programs and international education. As the Director of Advancement at the Holmesglen Foundation, Vincent networks for a profession and is an avid LinkedIn user, ready to share is knowledge and wisdom.
