Hurray!! Look at us Melbourne, finally getting outside and doing things! If you haven’t ventured outside in a while, or you’re just not sure what’s on, well boy have you come to the right place!

With Summer upon us, and events slowly coming out of hibernation, there are heaps of things to do this week instead of your Christmas shopping. Keep reading for my top 3 picks!

  1. Head to the Festive Food Truck Stop

Food and Melbourne. Name a better duo, I dare you. Sadly because of Miss. Rona, we missed many of Melbourne’s beloved food events, but do not despair, Queen Victoria Market is back with their newest food festival! Although not quite what we’re used to, Vic Market will be running its first night-time activation since lockdown with the best food trucks cruising down to the Shed with many goodies to offer. The Festive Food Truck Stop is on every Wednesday night, so head down to get your foodie fix!

  1. Head to Rain Room

If you’re a sucker for novelty, then you’re going to love this. The team at Jackalope in St Kilda is hosting the hit immersive artwork experience, Rain Room. I know what you’re thinking, why would I stand in a room only to be rained on? Well friend, here’s the cool part...you don’t get wet! Through magic or some sort of crazy-smart technology (probably the latter), you get to experience walking a torrential storm without the saturation! How cool is that?

  1. Watch a Free Film Screening at Fed Square

Netflix was our best friend during lockdown, but there’s a new girl in town. To get into the holiday spirit, Fed Square will be screening some family classics on their big screen for you to grab a few mates, setup a picnic, and enjoy watching a movie on the big screen.

What will you be doing this weekend? Let me know in the comments!
