Position Description of Vacancy:
- Learning how to cut, handle and lift all types of stone.
- Learn how to assist in repair, construction, maintenance or other tasks on the job.
- Inspects, cleans and maintains shop equipment, vehicles and machinery.
- Learn how to operate forklifts, cranes, material suction units, saws, CNC routers, grinders.
- Listening, watching and learning skills required.
- Needs to work well in a team.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings, as well as to compose work orders.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office.
- Good time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Basic communication skills
- Pre-apprenticeship in either carpentry or bricklaying preferred.
- Must have completed year 10
- Must have basic maths, literacy skills, ability to read and write, basic motor skills.
- Must be fit and able to carry out works.
- No pre-existing medical injuries
