Safety Intern
Salary/Benefits: $72,751 - $88,336 + Superannuation
Hours: Full Time, start and finish times may vary for site visits.
Location: Melbourne CBD, VIC (may be required to travel regionally/spend time at regional sites.
Position Description of Vacancy:
- Two-year program offering individuals with recent safety qualifications the opportunity to join Rail Projects Victoria and fast track the development of their skills, capabilities, knowledge and qualifications as they work on Victoria's Big Build Projects.
- Participants will gain real-world experience on a variety of rail construction projects and in multiple functional and operational areas.
- Participating in a structured learning program with mentoring opportunities and internal and external training options.
- Day to day will involve exposure to best practice Safety Management Systems to accelerate a career in safety.
- Seeking a driven candidate who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of public infrastructure, working within a team to drive exceptional outcomes. Must be outcome-driven and self motivated, able to work autonomously with the confidence to communicate with a variety of stakeholders including team members, management and contractors.
- Must be recently qualified in Occupational Health and Safety or hold qualifications in a similar discipline.
- Additional formal training and professional development included.
- Must have a valid Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW), or the ability to obtain one.
- Must have current Driver's License.
- Must be able to show proof of up to date COVID-19 Vaccination status.
