Phase 2 - Digital Industry Project

About Phase 2 - Digital Industry Project (DIP)

This Digital Industry Project is a 2-week experience (11-24 April 2023) where teams of student consultants complete an industry report for a real world client. Using secondary research, teams will undertake in-depth analysis and provide recommendations to help their client's organisation overcome a current business challenge and assist their business growth.

Teams will share their research and recommendations with their client throughout the 2-weeks and receive feedback along the way. By participating, students will build and develop their transferable Global skills and gain real industry experience leading to improved employability.

Students need to be prepared to work on the DIP for 25 hours between 11-24 April 2023 with your team and client.

Teams will collaborate virtually.

Deliverables:

  • Skills Assessment

  • Draft Report

  • Final Report

How it works

By confirming your participation in the Digital Industry Project, you will be allocated to a small team (up to 6 members) and given an industry problem. Working on a digital platform, you will be guided through this project with clear tasks and supportive instructions and content. The digital platform will provide client and peer feedback and prompt reflections on your progress.

All participants receive a digital badge and certificate at the completion of the project.

Project themes

There are four themes for the DIP and employers will submit business problems aligned to these topics. We cannot guarantee a project theme however it's important that you are aware that you could be allocated a project across these themes.

International Business - students research and analyse the most effective strategy for entering a product or service into a new market.

Digital Marketing - students will develop a digital media strategy to help clients maximise their existing digital media platforms or adopt new ones.

Growth strategy - students research and identify business opportunities to help an organisation grow.

Sustainability - students research practical options to enhance your organisation's social or environmental impact in the world.
