Personal Care Worker
Salary/Benefits: $26.01 - $29.10 + Super and penalty rates
Hours: Casual
Location: Wheelers Hill, Burwood East, Highton, Aberfeldie, VIC
Position Description of Vacancy:
- Certificate II / IV in Ageing Support desired but not essential for the right candidate.
- Perform care and personal needs assistance under the planning and direction of a Registered/Enrolled Nurse.
- Observe and report immediately to the nurse or senior staff member on residents' condition and behaviour where there is a change in status.
- Ensure the safety, privacy and comfort of residents at all times.
- Recognise and appreciate the concept of working in a team in a harmonious and safe environment.
- Offer assistance in a courteous and helpful manner to residents, relatives and visitors and telephone callers.
- Maintain and high level of tidiness and professional appearance.
- Respond to residents' needs within other areas of the village in response to call bells. This may involve visiting residents during evening and night hours.
