Event/Production Assistant

 

Salary/Benefits: $30 - $50 per hour 

Hours: 30 hours per month (approximately)

Location: Melbourne and surrounds

 

Position Description of Vacancy:

- Responsible for assisting in pre-event production, on site event management and post event wrap up. 
- Required to work and take direction from Event Management team while supporting and working with other event sub-contractors, administrators and event day staff to progress the business and achieve successful client outcomes. 
- It is vital that Event Assistants contribute positively to the brand representation on events, to the corporate culture and act in the best interests of the company of the wellbeing of staff. 
- Pre event, candidate will collect and deliver event equipment from storage unit and external suppliers. 
- Site inspections of potential event venues, including recording site images, noting access points and available amenities and assistance/advice re site plan layout. 
- Event Day tasks include supervision of suppliers and subcontractors on site access , bump-in and safety. 
- Briefing performers, promotional staff, photographers etc.
- Set up P3 supplied equipment
- Liaise with client and support them in the delivery of promotional giveaways, signage, branding etc. 
- Managing event elements such as queue lines, food and beverage consumption, performance timing etc. 
- Recording images or event activities, site layout for historical and P3 Events social media.
- Supervision of bump-out, including vehicle movement on site, safety and pack down of event equipment, return of venue to pre-event setup, sign off with suppliers, traffic management, first aid, security etc.
- Post event tasks include return of P3 event equipment to storage unit, preparation of post-event summaries and return of any hired goods or theming. 
- Ad-hoc tasks include documentation preparation and printing. 
- Shopping for event stock
- Stocktake of storage unit
- Attend client briefings/ site inspections.
- Safety training
- Must be available on weekends. Advanced notice for events/hours will be provided. 
- Tertiary education in Event Management highly regarded.
- Driver's License and a reliable vehicle essential.
