Electrical & Mechanical Assembly Technician
Salary/Benefits: Starting salary of $25 per hour + Super + commensurate with experience.
Hours: Full Time
Location: Boronia, VIC
Position Description of Vacancy:
- Manufacturing of equipment for use in hospitals and laboratories as well as in a range of industrial applications.
- Seeking a skilled individual to assist in hands-on assembly of equipment, both electrical and mechanical in nature.
- May also be required to assist other staff members in other departments.
- Electrical and mechanical assembly using hand and power tools primarily.
- Preparation of wiring harnesses and circuit boards including hand soldering as required.
- Final testing and cleaning of product for wrapping of goods for stock as required.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop.
- Recording of production output using timesheets.
- Proficiency using hand tools
- Experience in machining and/or CNC would be highly regarded but not required.
- Understanding of basic electrical principles.
- Understanding of basic mechanical principles.
- Good general understanding of safe work practices in a workshop environment.
- Attention to detail
- A customer-oriented focus to all work.
- Efficient and systematic approach to work.
- Ability to work under instruction
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Australian Permanent Residency required.
- Must have completed or ongoing electronics, electrical engineering or mechatronics or related certificate, or practical experience in a related role.
